They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Shift Site Supervisor to oversee highways improvement projects during night operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of tasks, maintaining high safety standards, and managing subcontractors effectively throughout the night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Night Shift Management: Lead and supervise night shift operations on highways improvement projects, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate subcontractor activities during night shifts, including task allocation, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and schedules.
- Safety Oversight: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies throughout the night shift, conducting regular safety briefings and inspections to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Task Execution: Oversee the execution of tasks such as road closures, lane diversions, and construction activities during night shifts, ensuring minimal disruption to traffic flow and neighboring communities.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and compliance with project specifications during night operations.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with night shift teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to provide updates on progress, address any issues or concerns, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Documentation: Prepare accurate and timely reports on night shift activities, including progress updates, safety incidents, and any deviations from the project plan.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any challenges or issues that arise during night shift operations, taking proactive measures to minimize delays and ensure project continuity.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the highways or infrastructure sector.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively during night shifts.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures, with relevant certifications such as CSCS, SSSTS, or SMSTS.
- Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions under pressure during night operations.
- Familiarity with highways construction processes and night work methodologies.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate night shift work and occasional weekend shifts.
- Valid driver's license and access to transportation to reach project sites.
