Would you like to lead an amazing service which supports young people with Autism or a Learning Disability to gain skills and move towards employment?

It’s a brilliant programme. The charity work with some big-name employers who are 100% behind the project and great to work with, and it makes a huge positive impact.

The young people are aged 16 – 23 (around 70 learners in total) and the service delivers training to them around functional skills Maths, English and Employability. They then go onto an 80-hour work experience placement (with around 80% moving to full time paid employment). You will manage the tutors and TA’s who deliver in the classroom (around 5 staff). Then 2 employer engagement staff, who work closely with the employers. One EHCP Coordinator and 2 admin staff. Your typical tasks include:

• Staff management and contract performance
• Coordinating EHCP reviews
• Monitoring compliance data
• Quality reviews / learning walks
• Meeting with employers for feedback

To apply for this role, you must have managed staff on a similar type of programme such as Employability, Skills, AEB, Apprenticeships, Traineeships etc. So, you might have worked as a Head of Department (at a school maybe?), Employability Manager or Centre Manager.
