Job description
- BOM Optimisation: Lead efforts to reduce BOM costs by identifying cost-saving opportunities, negotiating with suppliers, and selecting cost-effective components without compromising quality.
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring reliability, quality, and timely delivery of materials. Negotiate favourable terms and agreements.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct in-depth cost analysis to identify cost drivers, recommend cost reduction strategies, and track cost-saving initiatives.
- Strategic Sourcing: Implement best practices in strategic sourcing, including vendor assessment, selection, and performance evaluation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and quality control, to ensure alignment and drive continuous improvements.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to optimise working capital while ensuring material availability to meet production needs.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and ethical practices, and develop risk mitigation strategies.
