Job description

We are looking for a  Clinical / Safeguarding Trustee to join the Board and ensure that the organisation continues to maintain the highest clinical and safeguarding standards.

What will you be doing?

In this important voluntary role, this trustee will take the lead in ensuring that safeguarding and high clinical standards remain front and centre of the way Riverside works as an organisation, this trustee will take the lead in ensuring that safeguarding and high clinical standards remain front and centre of the way Riverside works as an organisation, with a focus on three key areas: strategy, policy and process and culture.  This is in addition to their wider responsibilities as a trustee and enhances the collective responsibility all trustees already have to understand and ensure safeguarding.

What are we looking for?

Recognised and relevant qualification in counselling, psychotherapy, clinical or counselling Psychology (e.g. post-graduate degree, Doctorate or diploma)

BACP membership or eligibility for membership and registered member of a professional counselling body, preferably BACP, UKCP, BPC or HCPC

Responsible for ensuring safeguarding policies and guidance are being adhered to across the adult service

Knowledge and understanding of psychodynamic/psychoanalytic models of therapy
