We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Worker   who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service u sers, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. Y ou will be covering the whole of Sefton, this role will be working with those at the end of their time with us and assisting them transitioning to community services.

 

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.  

 

Where:   Bootle

Hours: 37.5hrs per week

Salary : £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 Pro Rata (CGL Scale 23 – 28) dependent on experience   

 

Please note: Interviews will be held on the 18th of March. If you are invited to interview, we ask that you prepare a 10 minute presentation on how you would develop the role of Recovery Support Worker and what recovery support means to you.

About the role:  

• Develop and deliver specific interventions designed to reduce the harm caused by drug and alcohol use.
• Developing pathways and joint working initiatives with partner agencies.
• Actively plan and engage with underrepresented groups.
• Increasing the number of individuals accessing treatment.
• Supporting the reduction of individuals who disengage following assessment.
• To offer assertive follow up and increase retention.
• Increasing the number of individuals successfully completing treatment.  

About you:  

• Prior knowledge and experience of providing interventions for service users affected by drug and alcohol use.
• Knowledge of safeguarding issues and vulnerable adult procedures.
• An ability to work with and manage challenging behaviour.
• Experience of engaging with a wide variety of individuals.
• To be able to critically reflect and evaluate interventions and service delivery, identifying areas for development. (advantegous but not essential)
