Are you a creative and passionate digital storyteller with a knack for creating amazing videos, looking for your next Videographer role? Chester Race Company have the fantastic opportunity to join our well-established Marketing team in a brand-new role, based in Chester on a permanent contract.
This role will be exciting and varied, with Chester Race Company’s long-term growth plans underway, you will be a part of achieving our ambitious goals through filming, editing and producing high quality video content for all brands across the group; Having a proficient background in video technologies, you will be capturing video content that brings to life experiences and drives engagement with key audiences.

Chester Race Company Ltd is one of the North West’s best-known and most-admired brands. It is an evolving organisation with a broad portfolio but retaining Horseracing at its core. The Company, headquartered in Chester, owns two racecourses (Chester and Bangor-on-Dee) and operates a third course in Scotland, Musselburgh. At Chester, it also owns and operates an on-course hotel, and a vibrant pub and adjacent commercial premises in Chester city centre.
The successful Videographer will be responsible for:
- Produce innovative, engaging and high-quality video content
- Conceptualise, plan, film, edit and deliver content that encapsulates the excitement, glamour, and uniqueness of racedays, events, and the overall racecourse experience.
- Maintain a high standard of video production that adheres to brand guidelines and visual standards
- Plan and design a monthly video content plan for all brands including videos, graphics, blog posts, social media posts, email campaigns, and website content.
- Manage studio time and effectively work to meet deadlines.
- Develop and maintain an archive of video content for use as and when required
- Support with photography needs of the business where necessary
The successful Videographer will have the following:
- Proven experience in video content creation, preferably within the sports, entertainment, or events industry.
- Degree (or equivalent) in film/video production
- Highly creative when it comes to video editing and production, with a passion for new ideas and different ways of looking at things
- A proven showreel demonstrating outstanding videography work.
- Proficiency in using videography equipment and the latest editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or Da Vinci Resolve.
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, sound and storytelling through visual mediums.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and the visuals that translate to these platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail.
- Strong organisational skills. Experience of managing multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, predominately Mon – Fri 09:00-17:00
However some weekend / evening work is expected around major events and race days.
Remote Working: 3 / 5 days are to be office based, with the option to work 2 days per week from home. Flexibility is required in line with the business needs.
