Salary:                     £33,897 - £36,154 pro rata

An exciting vacancy is available as a Learning and Development Trainer in the CAVC for Business department at Cardiff and the Vale College. This post will be based at the City Centre Campus.

Responsibilities include:

• Identifying and building relationships with local employers and unions to manage their training needs and the needs of their individual employees/members.
• Working with the Learning and Development Business Partner and the Business Development Manager to identify employers on our existing database who may be approached.
• Assessment of Basic Skills requirements within the employer's workforce.
• Undertaking a Training Needs Analysis for each employer and facilitating training through the Essential Skills Wales Qualification as well as other Awarding Bodies.
• Writing a clear, concise plan of delivery with each employer taking into account equal opportunities.
• Lead on the facilitation and delivery of Employability, Customer Service and Essential Skills courses for Adults.
• To be involved in continually reviewing, improving and optimising the effectiveness and efficiency of your departmental processes.
• Welsh language skills are not essential for this role but would be desirable.
