We are happy to announce that applications for our new Volunteer and Work Experience Manager are now live!

As the Volunteer and Work Experience Manager, you will take the lead in recruiting and managing volunteers and work experience students for the FUSE International 2024 festival and wider Creative Youth activities. This role is a gateway to developing skills in project management, administration, and communications , offering you a unique chance to work closely with young creative individuals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

About the Role

This is an exciting, interesting and fun position for a flexible multi-tasker with a passion for the arts.

This is a great position to really get your teeth into and particularly if you are interested in a career in the creative industries. Whilst some experience working within a festival environment would be desirable, we are also looking for the right person who can fit in with our team, learn quickly, have great ideas, and be a doer.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Recruitment Leadership: Driving the recruitment process for volunteers and work experience students, ensuring a diverse and skilled team for the festival period.
• Management Excellence: Oversee the entire volunteer and work experience lifecycle, providing exceptional support and leadership for the cohort.
• Skill Development: Offer opportunities for personal and professional growth, making this role a valuable stepping stone for those looking to enhance their skills whilst being a part of our team.
• Being part of a dynamic team that creates unforgettable experiences together.

Tenure : Fixed Term Contract from 1st April 2024 – 1st September 2024.

Based At : FUSEBOX Kingston, 2 Buckland’s Wharf, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1TF

Rate of Pay: £120 per day on a freelance contract basis.

Working Hours :

• Total of 36 days of work at £120 per day
• Flexible schedule to be agreed upon between the Festival Director and the successful candidate.
• As a Manager, you will be required to work the majority of the festival dates inc. evenings and weekends.

(Dependant on future funding, there is potential long term for this role to continue beyond the end of this fixed term contract.)
