Job Title: Youth Justice Officer
Location: London Wall, England
Salary: £27.79- £29.11 per hour
Type: Temporary / Full-Time
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and adaptable individual to join our team at Enfield Council. As a Youth Justice Officer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality youth support services within the framework of clean, safe care.
This is a contract position with the potential for permanent employment, offering an exciting opportunity for passionate candidates to make a lasting impact on our community.
Candidate Requirements:
- An experienced Youth Justice Officer, ideally a qualified social worker with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Probation Officer qualification/PCEP/YJEP qualifications and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Recent experience in youth justice and proficiency in using assessment tools such as AssetPlus.
- Ability to produce high-quality pre-sentence reports.
- Former Probation Officers with experience working within youth justice will be considered.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons.
- Undertaking and coordinating assessments to accurately identify the risk of reoffending, harm, dangerousness, and vulnerability.
- Developing and delivering targeted interventions to address the needs and underlying causes of offending behavior.
- Participating in the delivery of a wide range of Youth Offending Team (YOT) programs.
