An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate teacher of Religious Education to take on this exciting role. It is an opportunity to lead a highly successful and committed team, judged Outstanding in their RE provision by the Diocese of Brentwood (July 2019).
Applicants must be a practising Catholic and a parish priest’s reference will be requested.
The RE department is ‘The core of the core’ at St. Bonaventure’s. Consistently achieving the highest outcomes in the school whilst forming and developing students as young people of faith. RE is a highly regarded subject by students and their families and students are active participants in their learning and have a genuine interest in all areas of the curriculum. We are looking for someone who is ready to inspire and lead the RE team to ensure that our provision goes from strength to strength.
It would suit someone with a strong moral purpose who wants to actively contribute to the mission of the school, to help the whole community grow "In Holiness And Learning". The subject leader for RE would also actively and substantially contribute to the wider Catholic Life, and Prayer and Liturgy provision.
St Bonaventure’s was judged to be Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in November 2022, and is a popular provider of education within the London Borough of Newham. We are oversubscribed with a very high number of practising Catholics. We are welcoming, friendly and inclusive.
