Senior Financial Accountant (Financial Reporting - Boutique Accounting, Inventory & FA&L) page is loaded
Your role
Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, this 12 month FTC role will take ownership for the Boutique accounting, Fixed assets and leases (FA&L), inventory and Financial Controls for the UK region. This is a key role for the region, working closely with the Head of Financial Control to drive process improvement and implement more robust financial controls across the region. Managing two direct reports, you will also support with training and developing members of the UK finance team and will support in setting departmental objectives and ensuring these are adhered to.

Accounting duties:
Responsibility for the month-end close on SAP
Specific ownership of Boutique accounting, inventory, FA&L (incl. IFRS16) and related transactions
Management of balance sheet reconciliations (including preparing and reviewing)
Quarterly financial submissions to Global
Work as the key point of contact for the audit
Providing finance support for the boutiques
Oversight of reconciling store receipts
Project work:
Involved in the design, testing and implementation of various improvement projects
Supporting with the implementation of a new ERP system where appropriate (D365)
What you will bring to the role:
Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
Strong financial controls required and treasury experience preferred
Previous experience driving change and implementing new processes
Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing a team however, equally comfortable to performing day to day tasks with good attention to detail
Knowledge of SAP
Experience working in the retail industry and business partnering with operations teams.
Ability to prioritise and multi-task, use own initiative and work autonomously when required
Positive and ambitious attitude with a willingness to learn
