Salary: £325 - £340 per shift, negotiable, CIS
Engineer, Senior Site. Enabling & Groundworks, then RC frame and landscaping. Good setting out, communication + AutoCAD skills. Car required to access site. Major new build extension to an existing property, plus additional new buildings complex. £325 - £340 CIS negotiable. 1 year plus. Marlborough, Wiltshire.
Engineer, Senior Site. You will start the project including enabling works. Working with the Project Manager you will initially be required to set out and carry out organisation from an engineering perspective. You will take responsibility for all the setting out on site, raising RFIs to resolve drawing queries and providing the information to the Foreman and site staff. You must be capable of providing information accurately and effectively to keep the work flowing. Groundworks experience is essential. An additional engineer will join in early 2024.
The Company works on high quality private developments of a one-off nature. Specialising in Civil Engineering, Groundworks and RC schemes. Utilising their specialist skills and in-house plant and equipment they plan, cost, and execute all types of groundwork and civil engineering projects. Currently turning over some £28m this contractor specialises in packages from £500k to £7m.
The Project. Following a successful new build private property 8 years ago they have been invited back to double the size of this private dwelling. There will be elements of demolition and cut & carve. However, the bulk of the works will involve earthworks, drainage, piling and waterproofing, groundworks and then both sub and super-structural RC. Brick and masonry work will be carried out. Fit out works will be by others. A minimum of 12-15 months work is available.
Engineering experience in the following is required:
Demolition, minor.
Bulk excavation and enabling works.
Temporary Works.
Foundations and Underpinning.
Drainage and waterproofing.
External earth works.
Reinforced concrete structures both below and above ground.
Low tolerance power float work.
Landscaping and paving.
Qualified to Degree level in Civil Engineering, you will have worked for at least 3 years for established RC contractors or Groundworkers. You must be fully aware of Health & Safety requirements as well as having a good technical knowledge and clear communication skills, both written and oral, with good robotic EDM skills and a good understanding of AutoCAD and IT.
£325 - £340 per shift CIS, negotiable. This is based on your relevant skills and experience to date. Qualifications and references will be verified.
