About the Job:
Recra are working in partnership with a fantastic multisite Print & Packaging manufacturing business, they are keen to recruit an experienced Maintenance engineer to join their team on a Monday to Friday dayshift.
Role overview:
To work within a team or alone in a Maintenance Department that is required to operate within the production facilities working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The departments work to a planned maintenance schedule and to a breakdown procedure. The department also maintains the site and helps with product development and machine installations.
Call-out is an integral part of the maintenance department's function and the continual operation of the factory over the 7 days a week continuous working.
Aim/Purpose of job: - To maintain all production and ancillary equipment.
- To work closely with all departments to ensure policies & procedures are followed.
- To provide mechanical and electrical support across the site.
- To report daily to the Engineering Manager or other department Managers.
- To communicate with all departments regarding breakdowns/repairs/provisions etc.
- To assist the Engineering Manager with projects.
- Prioritising jobs as necessary based on communication with the Engineering Manager or production management team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Engineering Manager
- Ensure BRC/IOP quality standard requirements are met
- Meet SEDEX & ETI requirements.
- Ensure your own actions reduce risks to Health and Safety within the company.
- To comply with all Environmental Requirements.
- To assist in training for Trainees.
- To maintain all working practices documented in the Company ‘HANDBOOK’
- To work professionally with the resources provided at the Leicester site.
- Develop productive working relationships within your team & other members of the department.
- To manage your own and assist with other teams’ resources.
- To assist in meeting departmental objectives
- To communicate with all departments regarding breakdowns/repairs/provisions etc.
Ideally, candidates should be Electrically Biased or Multiskiled.
