We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, strategic leader to join the Museum.
In this senior leadership role at the Museum, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the vision and strategic direction of the organisation.
Position: Museum Director
Location: Worcester/hybrid
Salary: £45K - £48K
Hours: Full-time (flexible working considered)
Contract: Permanent
Benefits: 33 days holidays including bank holidays, pension, sick pay, free parking, laptop.

Interviews: First interviews to be held on 25th and 27th March and final interviews 3rd April (some flexibility will be offered to accommodate pre-booked holidays)
About the Role
Supported by a small team, you will be responsible for all aspects of the management of the organisation, subject to policy direction from the Trustees. You will hold a budget of c £250K including an income generation target of c £115K.
This high-profile post offers a unique opportunity to expand public knowledge of and engagement with the Museum’s priceless collection, both nationally and internationally.
About You
You will have experience in a leadership role, covering income generation and project or programme delivery. You will also have experience of managing budgets and the ability to initiate, plan and work at a strategic level. The ability to be entrepreneurial and grow the Museum in creative ways is also essential.
Experience of working for a museum or of delivering stimulating collections-based exhibitions and events programmes would be beneficial in this role but is not essential.

With three galleries over two floors, the Museum offers insight into 250 years of world-class industrial heritage, ceramic design and technology, skill and innovation. Founded in 1946 as an independent charitable trust by Charles Dyson Perrins, factory MD, collector and philanthropist, the Museum has recently transferred to Charitable Incorporated Organisation status.
