This role has a starting salary of £34,356 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week. We are excited to be hiring a new Programme and Learning Coordinator to join our fantastic School Relationships Service . The team is based in Woking and plays an important part in our innovative and successful Surrey Online School team . This role requires time in the office for at least 2 full days per week, with the flexibility for working remotely for up to 3 days per week .

This is a 12-month fixed term contract / secondment opportunity.

About the Role

The Programme and Learning Coordinator plays a central part in the daily operations of Surrey Online School (SOS), a traded, front-line service . In this dynamic position you will provide high-quality, timely responses to enquiries from schools, council services and families working to deliver solutions for children to access education .

Your role involves developing and securing strong relationships with colleagues and partners in schools and education settings in Surrey, as well as children and families, ensuring that the services we deliver have a tangible impact on better outcomes for children and young people accessing SOS . You may be required to visit students at home or attend meetings in schools as part of the role. You will work closely with our commissioned lesson provider, including leaders, teachers, and SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator), to find innovative solutions that inspire and create opportunities for success . You will be the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Surrey Online School, taking lead responsibility for safeguarding and oversight for attendance .

Working alongside colleagues in the wider School Relationships & Support Service teams, including Surrey Education Services, Free School Meal Checking Service and Area Schools Officers, you will play a key role in ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality traded services to schools and education settings .

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a confident, resilient, and reliable individual who is passionate about education and making a real impact on children's lives . Someone with strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build quality relationships with diverse stakeholders is a must .

While prior school/education experience would be useful, we are equally enthusiastic about supporting you in developing this expertise, complementing your existing talents and skills.

Key to your success in this role are your values and behaviours, along with your commitment, energy, and passion .

Satisfactory DBS clearance is required for this role as well as a valid driving license and access to a vehicle .
