Working alongside the night security guard based in the Library. Will be manning the front desk and undertaking security checks within the Library.
The working hours are 22:00-06:00 covering 7 days a week.
Job Purpose:
To provide a high quality, customer focused, security service for the library which complies with legislation, operating procedures, protocols and enforcement of the Library Rules to ensure a safe, productive, academic environment for our customers to work in. To provide customer support to all customers of the University during unstaffed hours.
Work Experience
Experience of working within a culturally diverse customer focused environment
Experience of security operations or working within a security environment
Experience of diffusing potential disagreements in a non-confrontational manner
Experience of working effectively as part of a team and using own initiative.
Knowledge of Legislation, e.g. Health & Safety, Data protection etc.
Experience of effectively using interpersonal skills
