Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a well-regarded and progressive independent firm of accountants in Wilmslow who are now looking to add a Semi Senior Accountant to their growing team.
As a Semi Senior Accountant your role will predominantly consist of providing Accounting and Tax compliance services to a varied portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. The workload will include the preparation of both statutory and management accounts as well as corporation tax compliance, bookkeeping and VAT work. You will liaise with clients directly as well as being responsible for communicating with HMRC.

The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified or at the latter stages of their studies or may have already commenced their ACCA studies. Prior experience of working within practice is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The role will predominantly involve preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
Completion of client bookkeeping
Preparation and submission of VAT returns
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines and work well within a team.
Communication with HMRC on behalf of clients
Skills:
AAT Qualified or Finalists or ACCA students
Experience of undertaking a varied practice role
Up to date knowledge of all relevant accounting standards
