Restaurant / Catering Supervisor
Job Type: Full-time (45 hours per week)
Salary: £28,000 per year
Our client is looking for a Catering Supervisor to help them run their newly opened Bistro / Cafe / restaurant in Luton. They are a small family catering business in Bedfordshire that run multiple coffee vans, food vans & three cafes. They are professional, agile and innovative.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the café, including food preparation, customer service, and staff management.
- Ensure high-quality food and beverage offerings are consistently delivered to customers.
- Train and supervise café staff, including cooks, baristas, and servers.
- Create and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain equipment.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop menus, pricing, and promotional activities.
Our ideal candidate
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Bartending experience is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
