Location: Kettering
Salary: ULT Teachers’ Pay Range (£32,850 - £48,050)
Closing date: 24 March 2024
Interviews: w/c 25 March 2024
Required for: September 2024
The role
Due to the ever growing popularity of our school, we seek a motivated, passionate and committed Maths teacher to join us from September 2024 in order to promote the highest achievement possible for our students. Keeping your subject exciting, relevant and enjoyable, you'll create an ambitious, innovative and motivating classroom. You’ll inspire and challenge your students so that they develop into highly effective, independent learners and achieve their individual potential.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a successful and rapidly improving academy. We are driven by a forward-thinking philosophy and a vibrant, positive culture. In a friendly and welcoming school, with supportive colleagues, you’ll be able to make a real impact on our academy and on the lives of the students here. We offer excellent opportunities for professional development to help you further your career and a supportive and friendly environment in which our staff have plenty of opportunity to grow and develop.
About You
You will have Qualified Teacher Status. Whether as an ECT or a more experienced teacher, you’re an inspiring practitioner with the ability to achieve success within a secondary school setting. You will have the ability to consistently deliver ‘good’ to ‘outstanding’ lessons. You will have good interpersonal skills, sound behaviour management skills and have the highest expectations for what our students can achieve.
Since becoming an academy in September 2009, Kettering Buccleuch Academy has seen many exciting changes. We are an all-through academy catering for students aged 4-18. We moved into our new, purpose-built building in January 2013. The academy continues to go from strength to strength, with happy and motivated staff, a supportive culture and plenty of opportunities for personal growth with our excellent staff CPD offer. We offer a range of benefits including our wellbeing and workload manifesto, Perkbox, covering lifestyle and retail benefits including childcare vouchers, a car lease scheme, cycle to work etc., subsidised meals and an on-site gym which is free for all staff to use.
We welcome visits to our school so that you can experience the unique ethos of Kettering Buccleuch Academy for yourself.
United Learning
We are part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.
United Learning is a large and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.
United Learning schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. The subject specialists, Group-wide intranet, own curriculum, and online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.
As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
We are working hard to become a more diverse organisation – which is key to our commitment to bringing out the best in everyone. We welcome applications from everyone committed to this ethos and would particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates, who are currently under-represented in the Group as a whole. We always appoint on merit, and we are open to discussing flexible working options.
United Learning is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All positions are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and shortlisted candidates will be subject to an online check.
Here at United Learning, we are committed to ensuring our employees feel valued and appreciated. Because we are a group, we can reward you better than any school could alone, and this includes your employee benefits. Here is some information about the benefits available to United Learning.
