About the role
A demanding field-based, operational role for someone with flexibility, energy and stamina. The role can require long hours and requires a disciplined individual able to manage time effectively. There is also opportunity to grow within the business, for ambitious candidates wanting career progression.
Purpose:
- Carry out specialist cleans, such as carpet cleaning, spring cleaning, floors deep cleaning, etc.
- Cover emergencies, such as absent cleaners
- Support Area Operations Managers and Regional Operations Managers
Key Responsibilities
Manage and arrange cleaning teams on specialist jobs
Making sure all jobs are done as per instructions and to a high standard
Client liaison as required
Cover cleaners in the event of an emergency
Assist with starting up new contracts: arrange cleaning equipment, supplies, and cleaners
Report to an operational manager
Types of jobs:
- Carpet Cleaning
- Hard floor cleaning/polishing
- Handyman
- Window cleaning
- Jet washing
- Deep / builders’ cleaning
- Event cleaning
- Upholstery cleaning
- IT cleaning
- PAT testing
- Delivering supplies
Reports:
- Sign off one-off forms for payroll and invoice purposes
- Clients’ satisfaction dockets
- Report all staff changes (absence, starters, leavers, etc)
- Attend monthly meetings
The Person - our minimum skill requirements:
- Highly proactive, flexible, enthusiastic and pragmatic delivery orientated approach with 'can do’ attitude
- Excellent planning, organizational and prioritisation skills
- Able to work autonomously, and comfortable with rapid change, as well as working as part of a wider team
- Excellent telephone manner
- IT literate (MAC and PC) - good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, as well of the use of smartphone and mobile devices
- Previous cleaning industry experience required (3+ years)
- Excellent presentation skills
- Competent levels of planning and organisation
- Numeracy and literacy to a good level
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise
- Good interpersonal skills
- High levels of attention to detail
- A strong work ethic
- Full UK driving licence (held for minimum 2 years with no more than 6 penalty points)
- Personal vehicle
