Sales Manager
Newark, Full Time, Permanent
£30,000-£40,000
Future Prospects Group are proud to working with a leading provider of innovative solutions in the off-road machinery industry, to recruit a dynamic Sales Manager with a proven track record in sales and a strong engineering background. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent people management skills, coupled with a good understanding of technical engineering environments (preferably within an agricultural or mechanical setting).
The Role
The successful Sales Manager will become involved in the following key areas:
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the agricultural machinery and off-road machines sector.
- Nurture and expand relationships with existing clients to maximize sales.
Technical Understanding:
- Utilise engineering knowledge to effectively communicate the technical aspects of our products to customers.
- Provide technical support to customers and collaborate with the engineering team to address client needs.
People Management:
- Lead and mentor a sales team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear goals for the team.
Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes.
- Analyse market conditions to identify new opportunities and challenges.
Customer Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, dealers, and distributors.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of our offerings.
The Candidate
The ideal Sales Manager will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Proven experience in sales, with a strong background in people management.
- In-depth understanding of agricultural or off-road machinery is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- The willingness for regular travel within the UK and internationally to meet clients, attend trade shows, and participate in industry events.
