Job Description:
Merlin Engineering Ltd is a Bolton based precision engineering company serving a wide range of industry sectors including Packaging, Medial, Printing, Cycle Manufacturers, Industrial Door Industry and Commercial Vehicle Markets.
We pride ourselves in offering high quality production at competitive rates.
Our expertise is wide ranging, machining Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Mild Steels, Brass and various Plastics. We also have a complete fabrication section including Aluminium welding.

An exciting opportunity has become available within our business to join the Engineering team.

Your duties will include:

Assembling various modules in accordance with customer specification.

Working to assembly drawings

Modifying parts where necessary using hand techniques (for example - should something not quite fit as expected and need 'tweaking')

Checking stocks and modifying levels so that the control system can prioritise the manufacture of required parts.

Have a base knowledge of milling and turning, again should parts need modification.

Other duties as may need doing within a medium sized engineering organisation.

You will complete block release at Alliance Learning to gain the hands on skills, knowledge and behaviours.

PLEASE NOTE: The Engineering intake will start in September with interviews planned in after May 2024.
