Building Safety Manager
Location: Southwark
Rate: £350 per day Umbrella
We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Building Safety Manager. As the Building Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of the Council's housing stock in accordance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and relevant statutory and internal building safety management system requirements.
Responsibilities:
·Collaborate with the Principal Responsible Person and Responsible Person/s to oversee and manage the overall building safety strategy.
·Coordinate and assure all building-related activities to guarantee compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
·Take a lead role in developing and maintaining the Building Safety Case and Safety Case Reports for high-rise buildings.
·Manage the process of obtaining Building Assurance Certificates in accordance with regulatory standards.
·Facilitate stakeholder training needs by creating appropriate opportunities and programs.
·Ensure access to quality information related to building safety, and disseminate relevant information to the appropriate parties.
·Stay updated on changes in legislation and industry best practices related to building safety.
Qualifications and Experience:
·Proven experience in building safety management within a relevant regulatory framework.
·In-depth knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and associated regulations.
·Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate and assure building-related activities effectively.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
·Experience in developing and maintaining Building Safety Cases and Safety Case Reports for high-rise buildings.
·Ability to identify and address training needs related to building safety.
