Job description

Our Client is seeking an experienced day and night shift Forklift Driver to join their Spalding warehouse team that provides fresh and frozen food handling solutions throughout the UK. This is an ongoing position that can lead to a permanent position following a successful trial period. All trucks have a heated cab and seat.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks as required
• Moving pallets of boxes products between the chilled and Frozen warehouses
• Receiving and dispatching pallets via Warehouse Management System (WMS) using handheld scanners
• Any other duties as required

SHIFTS AND PAY

DAY SHIFTS:

• Monday to Friday & every 3rd Weekend 7 am to 6 pm
• £10.87 per hour for the 1st 39 hrs then £13.31 per hour, Sunday is £14.22 per hour.
• 2 x 15 minutes paid break - 1 x 30 minutes unpaid break (60 Minute total break)

NIGHT SHIFTS:

• Monday to Friday - 6 pm to 5 am / 7 pm - 6 pm
• £11.90 per hour for the 1st 39 hrs (this includes a shift allowance) then £13.31 per hour, Sunday is £14.22 per hour.
• 2 x 15 minutes paid break - 1 x 30 minutes unpaid break (60 Minute total break)

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise required:

• You MUST possess a current Reach license with D2 classification (lift over 8 metres)
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work well with others
• Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent verbal communication skills
