Role:
Account Handler (Covering: Personal Lines (Home & Motor), Commercial Vehicle, Property Owners, Commercial Combined & Liabilities)
Department: General Insurance Team
To work as part of a team in the processing of quotations, new business, mid- term alterations and renewal retention on an existing and growing book of business.
Duties & Responsibilities : - Answer telephone enquiries.
- Take information in order to provide a quotation.
- Liaise with Insurers and product providers.
- Provide quotations to clients.
- Arrange cover for clients.
- To be able to collect premiums from clients and understand processes for doing so.
- Check proposal forms received from Clients before sending to Insurers.
- Chase clients for documentation
- Check policy documentation before sending to clients
- Take details and process mid-term alterations.
- Chase clients for premiums
- Prepare renewal documents and send to clients.
- Answer queries received from clients and Insurers.
- To be able to use a computer system to deal with and manage clients including a computer diary system.
- Provide new business quotations to prospective clients.
Responsible to: General Insurance Team Manager.
Hours: 37 hours week:
Standard day: 9:00am to 5:30pm (5pm finish on Friday)
Location: Hybrid Remote (2 days office, 3 days home)
Experience :
Ideally minimum of 3-5 years insurance broking experience and ideally previously dealt with the above products.
Software: Use of Applied Epic or Open GI is preferred
Salary preferably within £26,000-£32,000 (Higher commercial lines experience will be higher in the band)
