SENIOR EHS SPECIALIST
CIRCA £25 PER HOUR
ABERDEEN, SCOTLAND
Gi Pro are seeking a EHS Specialist to join a multinational Electric company best known for its work in the Power, Renewable Energy, and Aerospace industries. The Role: As a Senior EHS Specialist, you will be required to:
- Re implement EHS process for CDM-P380 & Grid UK documentations
- Create the bridge between P380 and GE official policy.
- Be a strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills to be face with customer, Consortium, authorities, to drive and coordinate EHS activities at site, driving a strong leadership, by Engaging, control, and push the subcontractor leadership team and GE supervision.
- Understand the Company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policies and Processes and statutory requirements and ensure that the requirements are implemented.
- Gather and analyse data, prior to sharing with the operational team and supply chain.
- Support and advice our service contractors on site and ensure EHS requirements are understood and followed.
- Undertake and/or assist with the monitoring, analysis of and reporting of EHS performance. Utilize data to highlight areas of further consideration, evaluation, and intervention, while fostering continuous improvement.
- Provide administration support regarding organising EHS meetings, training etc, as requested by the EHS Manager
- Assist and support the investigation of accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses and other incidents as directed by the EHS Manager
- Apply Lean methodology to EHS process as per EHS managers guidance.
- Support regulatory critical to safety inspections and contractors' coordination.
The Person:
To be considered for the position of Senior EHS Specialist it is expected that you will have:
- BSc in Health & Safety Management or Health, Safety and Environment Management Or
- Undergraduate study or equivalent diploma that applies to IOSH Technical Safety Practitioner- Diploma (NVQ level 6) or Technical (NVQ Level 3) in Health and Safety Studies NEBOSH or equivalent.
- Right to work in the UK for the duration of the assignment.
- IOSH membership is welcome but not essential.
