My clients are a very well-established manufacturing company based in Tameside.  We are now looking for them a very experienced General Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Components Manufacturing Division. Reporting directly to the Components Director you will be responsible for the day to day running and efficient manufacturing, assembly, stocking, and quality of all component parts associated within the company’s portfolio of products. Managing employees across all functions within the division.

The main responsibilities of the role are to assist the Components Director in every aspect of running the Component Division. The role oversees and creates scheduled plans for the efficient running of all departments within the Components Division. A “hands on approach attitude “is required with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure that all manufactured goods comply with the Company’s quality standards and requirements. You will manage the Components teams and any material resources, to ensure production targets and objectives are achieved, utilising our internal stocking system for production planning / scheduling throughout all departments.

The successful person must have at least 5 years in a Senior Production Leadership role. A strong background within an Injection Moulding / Extrusion environment will certainly be an advantage. Good negotiation skills, Production planning, supply chain management experience is required. A solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing. Monitor sales orders and stocks, forecasting for future demand of new and existing products. Excel and Word proficiency are essential, as is knowledge of ERP/MRP/Microsoft D365 Systems. Experience of implementing stock control procedures and KPI reporting.

Monday to Friday 40 hours per week 8-5pm with 1 hour lunch

£50-£60k DOE
