Job description

Providing vital HR, Finance, IT and other key business services in the highways industry is fast paced, fun and fascinating. Our Shared Service functions work collaboratively to provide the essential business infrastructure that supports effective operations out on the network. Based in Widnes, Cheshire, our friendly teams ensure our divisions can access the resources they need to deliver the high standards their clients and the travelling public have come to expect from us.

Key Task & Accountabilites:

To support Vinci Construction Management Limited Insurance Services in the administration and handling of motor claims
Adding and updating of claims information within the claims management system.
Work with key divisional contacts to ensure claims are investigated and progressed through the relevant claims management process.
Collation of key claims information and documentation.
Liaison with key suppliers, Insurers, accident management and Solicitor panels as required to support the management of claims.
Providing ad-hoc support and guidance to fleet managers and claims coordinators within each business division.
General Insurance principles and practice – to have a general knowledge and understanding of the Insurance market to ensure application of basic insurance principles.
Provision of supporting documents and outlay evidence to solicitors for the purposes of uninsured loss recoveries.
Checking of repair invoices against estimates and authorization and processing of payments.
Monitoring of claims to ensure repairs, recoveries etc are achieved in a timely manner.
Being a point of contact for Motor Insurance queries.
Production of motor insurance letters to confirm driving experience.
Recognition of circumstances that require further investigation – ie adverse/high risk factors, fraud etc.
Ability to provide ad hoc reports.
Ability to work independently, with responsibility for initiating/prioritising and completing tasks and procedures.

Experience required;
Prior claims handling experience

Knowledge;
Experience of motor claims process

Personal qualities;
Ability to work on own initiative and to deadlines delivering good quality claims handling and support for the wider business
