Learning Support Assistant
- Job Title: KS2 Learning Support Assistant (Special Educational Needs)
- Location: Edgeware, London
- School: 2 Form Entry, Catholic Primary School
- Start Date and Duration: The position will commence after the Easter holidays and extend until the end of the summer term. Trials are scheduled to take place as soon as possible.
- Working Hours: This is a full-time role, 8:30AM-4PM
- Salary: £90-£100 per day, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Veritas Education are looking to hire an experienced Learning Support Assistant with experience of working on a 1-1 basis with a child with special educational needs. Your role as a Learning Support Assistant will centre around working alongside a child in Year 5 who has autism and global developmental delay. To succeed in this role, itr is integral that you understand how best to providie individualized support, specific to this child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the child in Year 5, providing tailored support in line with their individual education plan.
- Collaborate with class teachers and SENCO to implement effective strategies for inclusion and development.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Support the child's social and emotional well-being within the school community.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
- Relevant qualification in education or special education.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
