Job description


We are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join our growing digital transformation team. The post holder will work closely with the Trust's senior digital leadership team on the Trust's contributions to and involvement with the Electronic Health Record (EHR) programme. The role will also be matrix-managed by the central Programme Management Office leadership. This is an ambitious, large scale, complex programme which will support the transformation of service delivery across the ICS for many years to come.

The successful candidate will be a passionate 'change agent' and experienced project, programme, or service manager who has a track record of delivering improvement or change projects. A working knowledge of health care services and/or of delivering digital change in a complex environment is desirable.

Due to the nature of this role, the post holder will occasionally be required to work from locations across the Dorset and Somerset ICS.

• Day to day project management of the DCH contributions to the EHR Programme.
• Develop and maintain project documentation and to contribute to programme documentation held by the central PMO
• Prepare, manage and evaluate options appraisals.
• Ensure effective stakeholder management and communications to create key links both internally and externally, holding to account for delivery where necessary.
• Work flexibly, diligently and autonomously to meet tight timescales
• Plan and manage project budgets and resources.
• Support projects and project workstreams from feasibility through to timely completion and within budget working alongside project teams and partners.
• Support the user centred design process through relationship building, workshop/working group facilitation, co-ordination of business analysis and requirements gathering activity, and ensuring DCH’s timely and complete submission of all associated returns to the central PMO.
• To support the delivery of effective communication through leading focus groups, developing newsletters and other communication methods where required.
• To provide effective leadership to and management of design teams and other consultants/specialists engaged for project delivery
• Prepare and present reports to diverse groups internally and externally
• Capture lessons learnt and undertake post project evaluation
