Job description

Thomas Telford Limited is the commercial arm of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
The postholder’s role is to support the delivery of the ICE Group's digital communications with a particular focus on broadcast email/email newsletters. This requires being the organisation’s lead in managing dispatches issued via the DotDigital platform (or equivalent), deconflicting dispatch dates and times, and working with colleagues to improve the effectiveness of their broadcast emails.
The postholder will also support communications colleagues to ensure the overall effectiveness of communications across the ICE Group.
The ideal individual will understand information architecture and how to structure content effectively on the web and in email, as well as have a strong understanding of email marketing best practices.
It’s also essential that the individual has a keen eye for accuracy, thoroughness, consistency and detail. They’ll understand how to write engaging copy that achieves better results.
It will be beneficial for the ideal individual to understand HTML, CSS and related digital technologies. Other desirable skills include knowledge of graphic design software, and understanding of email marketing platforms such as DotDigital.
