Your future duties and responsibilities
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to diversify from this role readily and work across sectors within Space, Defence & Intelligence (SDI) for high profile engagements. This will likely involve collaboration with SMEs within multiple SDI sectors, and the introduction of Agile methods to customers unfamiliar with these practices.
Working alongside an SME client-side providing at the high-level design stage in a large programme design, you will architecting alongside others to support an exciting end client people transformation programme. CGI has a few Members deployed on this task in a collegiate environment and seeks a diversity of talent to maximise the value for the client.
• liaising will multiple business stakeholders, and other project teams to help define the high-level strategic solution design and support its integration with other pan defence systems.
• Support in the preparation of the Full Business Case to fund the next tranche of development within the programme.
• Working alongside other architects, producing the lower-level design and creating relevant proof of concepts and Alpha models.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Experience of designing data architectures for large systems e.g. Logical Data Modelling, Database Design etc.
• Understanding of Master Data concepts across an enterprise and API deployment.
• Familiarity with The Open Group ‘Archimate’ modelling standard.
• Some awareness of how the MOD is organised and its hierarchy structures
• Confidence to brief groups of senior staff on complicated data-oriented topics
• Ability to produce polished PowerPoint Presentations or Word Documents using MOD writing standards.
Desirable:
• Familiarity with how to use Sparx Enterprise Architect.
• Familiarity with AWS services especially AWS Data Handling services
• Understanding of API deployment across Security Domains/Boundaries
Due to the secure nature of the programme/role, you will need to hold the highest level of UK Security Clearance, or be eligible to go through National Security Vetting to obtain this clearance.
