Database and System Administrator
Salary range £33,196 to £44,576 per annum
Full time 36 hours per week
Spelthorne’s ICT department is a busy, friendly and dynamic place to work.
We are looking for an experienced Database and System Administrator to join a small team supporting many applications across the Council.
The Systems Team support, update and develop many different software packages across the Council including Academy OneDigital, Civica w360, Idox Eros and Uniform packages. Knowledge of any of these would be advantageous and training will be available to support all internal systems. The Council uses VDI to deliver its desktops and applications to the staff and part of the role would be to support and update systems on this environment, so an understanding of Citrix or other virtual platforms is highly desirable. We are currently implementing and developing Office 365 technologies and SharePoint as our corporate document management system, knowledge in this area is very much desirable. Previous experience of SQL, Oracle or Ingres is essential, and knowledge of process flows, forms creation and report development would be an advantage. Good Microsoft Excel skills is essential. A knowledge of local government would be useful but not essential.
This post is identified as a hybrid post supporting both office and home working in line with Spelthorne Borough Council’s policy. The post holder will be required to attend the office in line with a rota and any service requirements.
