Role Overview: As a Quality Assurance Technologist, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety for all products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to success in producing exceptional food products while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role is based in Kent and operates on a rotating shift pattern of 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance programs, including HACCP and food safety management systems.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and address any quality issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and process efficiency.
- Conduct internal training and provide guidance to employees on quality assurance procedures and best practices.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a quality assurance role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Relevant qualifications in food safety and HACCP.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
