The role Education Assistant:
As an Education Assistant you will be working in a mainstream primary school within in year 1. You must have at least a years' experience and have a CACHE Level 3 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant course, DBS (child work force) to be on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one. In this role an Education Assistant, Working under the guidance of a senior staff, Education Assistant will play an important role in supporting the academic and personal development of children both in and out of the classroom. This role can include getting the classroom ready for lessons, listening to children read, helping children who need extra support, helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records, supporting teachers in managing class behaviour, supervising group activities and looking after children who are upset or have had accidents.
