Job Title: Finance Business Partner - Adult Social Care
Location: Kettering
Type: Locum, 3-month contract
Salary: £375 per day
The Finance Business Partner will play a critical role in providing strategic financial guidance and support to the Adult Social Care department, ensuring that financial considerations are firmly embedded at the heart of decision-making.
Responsibilities: - Liaising with senior leaders within the department to establish clear financial targets and long-term financial strategy, in alignment with the overall organisational goals.
- Providing expert financial advice to help shape and support strategic decision-making relating to the delivery of adult social care services.
- Supporting the preparation of business cases, budget proposals, and other financial documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conducting financial analysis to evaluate current services' effectiveness, identify trends, and anticipate future budgetary requirements.
- Facilitating understanding and interpretation of financial information among non-financial team members and stakeholders, to drive budgetary accountability across all areas of the department.
- Leading the development and implementation of new financial models and systems to enhance the effectiveness of resource allocation and cost management.
- Ensuring compliance with financial legislation and policy by keeping abreast of changes and educating team members.
Qualifications:
- FCCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a financially focused role within the public sector, specifically adult social care, is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills including advanced use of Excel.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial landscape of adult social care, along with the ability to develop and execute strategic financial plans in a changing environment.
