Hours: 6 hours a week 3-week day mornings 7.30am until 9.30am .
Confident Driver: Must be a confident driver and happy to drive persons car.
Pay Rate £10.90 per hour plus 5.6 weeks AL Pro Rata
Job Description
The employer is smart, articulate and sociable young man. He has a good sense of humour who has full capacity. He is quadriplegic so requires support to get ready and get to college in the morning. He is looking for someone who can assist him with tasks to get ready and who can drive him to college.
Training on what is required will be given by the employer, and a Moving and Assisting People course will be arranged for you. The young man can get around by himself but may need a little help getting in and out of vehicles.
Employer is seeking an experienced Support Worker to support him.
The person enjoys wheel chair basketball, going to the gym, travel, music, YouTube, tatoo art, nature programmes, computer games and socialising with friends, you will need a minimum of 6 months’ care experience, be attentive, organised and be able to manage your own workload. A full Driving licence would be an advantage.
Post subject to successful reference and PVG checks.
Two up to date Reference contacts are required one of which must be from a present or previous employer. In addition, a new PVG enhanced disclosure will be required prior to appointment (disclosure cost to be met by the employer).
Probationary Period attached a 6 months to this post. During this period, either party can end the employment by giving the other one weeks’ notice.
