Job Title: Inventory Cost Analyst

Location: Rochester- We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £25,000-£30,000 Dependent on Experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting Month End activities including Inventory analysis, Reconciliations and ERP systems period/annual close
• Engaging and collaborating with the Operations & Project teams to assist in resolving inventory/WIP issues, monitoring WIP Jobs and variance analysis
• Working with key business leads in completing financial forecasts in support of operating plans (annual budget), quarterly business reviews, 5-year integrated business plans and challenging key assumptions to establish robust forecasts
• Providing accurate Inventory management information on a timely basis
• Developing and maintaining a solid understanding of the business risks/opportunities, proactively recommending mitigation plans to deliver budget/forecast targets

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Ability to communicate effectively within at all levels
• Prior experience within Cost Base Accounting including understanding of inventory management
• Good attention to detail and ability to swiftly analyse numerical data
• Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of Oracle ERP systems (or equivalent) and Hyperion

Desirable:

• Commenced or obtained Professional Qualifications within Accountancy

The Finance team:

Please note – This role will initially see you placed in a Functional Cost Management role, within the Overheads team, before transitioning into the Cost Accounting team for long-term succession planning.

This role is important to the success of the Cost Base team and you will bring energy, ideas, and to help make improvements and drive positive change especially at this exciting time as we go through an ERP refresh.You will have an opportunity to gain a real understanding of BAE and the wider cost base team. Giving you a rounded view of the business & wider company etc. This is a small team that will face a wide range of stakeholders.
