What you will do in your working day

You will be working at heights and will need to have the ability to work in various weather conditions and outside for long periods.

Objectives of this role:

• Working as a gang of 2 operatives
• Lathing & felting, marking out
• Loading and tiling
• Fixing of roof tiles to the manufacturer's specification
• General labouring tasks
• Installation of Dry Valley, Verge, Ridge & Hip Systems
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Gutter cleaning
• Adhering to both company & site health and safety guidelines and regulations while carrying out roofing tasks
• Loading/unloading vans e.g. waste removal, job preparation for the next day, restocking everyday essentials
• Bring Co-operatives and materials to and from the work site
• Provide your supervisor with status updates on progress and any delays

The training you will be getting

• Level 2 Roofer at Redcar & Cleveland College
• Functional skills maths and English, if required

An opportunity for a full-time position at the end of the apprenticeship.
