Job description
Robert Half Talent Solutions are seeking a Financial Controller for an exciting Fintech organisation. Whilst the role is fully remote , they are seeking the candidate who can be within reach of Cardiff to meet a few times a month.
This is a hands on Financial Controllers position in a fast growing SME. You will be responsible for all the accounts preparation and insight.
The organisation is highly acquisitive so you will have the opportunity to both investigate and on boards new organisations.
Key responsibilities and expectations
- Timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Compile monthly board/management information packs, incorporating customer statistics and insights.
- Conduct insightful analysis of financial trends, key metrics and KPIs to facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Assist in managing annual budgets, including cost control and identification of cost-saving opportunities.
- Cash Management and Treasury:
- Tax: Coordinate with external advisors in operating territories. Ensure punctual submission of VAT/GST returns and annual corporation tax returns.
- Payroll: Supervise monthly payroll completion across all entities.
- Oversee the year-end statutory accounts audit process for all group entities.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, offering guidance, support, and professional growth opportunities.

We need:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Proven experience in a similar senior finance role, ideally in a Fintech business that has experienced periods of rapid growth and scale.
