Job description
This is a hybrid role normally 1 day per week in the office, (Birmingham) with flexible working available. We support continuous development including those who wish to continue or begin their CIPD studies. We are looking for an Employee Relations Advisor who can support and provide expert ER advice to the business, ensuring to enable a high-quality professional guidance on all types of ER issues, people policies, and formal processes.
Whilst this role is full time, we are willing to consider part time or job share, please include this in your application, including the type of working pattern/hours you would prefer.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding and ER generalist experience within a relevant environment, be able to take proficient notes and provide on-the-spot advice. Good knowledge of employment legislation and external best practice trends is desirable.
Main duties include providing pragmatic case management support and advice on all employee relations issues, including (but not limited to) probation, performance development, disciplinary issues, grievance, sickness absence management, and other adhoc ER issues such as student termination meetings, flexible working requests, working time, occupational health, etc. It is essential to have previous and proven experience of working within a relevant environment.
