Job description
TXM Recruit are currently looking for a Gas Supervisor to cover the Walsall area for of the UK’s largest and leading FM Companies. The role will be working Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week, 8am – 5pm.
The salary will be up to £40,000 per year.
As a Gas Supervisor, you will be assisting with the delivery of their Walsall contract.
Responsibilities: - Supervision and leadership of the labour on site and the site supervisor
- Ensuring site safety is maintained.
- Overseeing productivity of the Sub-Contractors and directly employed Staff.
- Keeping up with their own workload and productivity on site and in the office.
- Quality control
- Site surveys when required.
- Solving issues that arise on site in a calm and measured way.
- Walking around the jobs and identifying rectification works if required.
- Reporting directly to the contract manager.
- Build and maintain a good working relationship with the client and merchants.
- Attend monthly client meetings.
- As a key participant in the relationship with the Company, Sub-Contractors, and the Client.
Specific Areas of Responsibility: - Keeping in communication with the Contracts Manager / office Staff and client.
- The Mechanical Contract Supervisor will assign tasks to the Directly Employed Staff and Sub-Contractors, along with discussing all stages of work with the Contracts Manager.
- The Mechanical contract Supervisor will complete either a site diary or daily report sheets every day to keep an accurate record of both who is on site and what tasks have been undertaken each day.
- Maintaining work standards on site.
- Prioritising work to ensure smooth delivery of works

To be successful you will need the below Qualifications/experience: - Previous experience of social housing is essential and must hold an ACS qualification with the following.
- A full UK Driving License.
- SMSTS (would be advantageous).
- IT Literate including an understanding of Excel.
- Good communication and people skills
