Job description
Daily Supply Teaching Assistant:
- Location: Newham
- Position: Teaching Assistant
- Start date: ASAP
- Pay: £85 - £90 per day
Veritas Education are looking to build a team of reliable Teaching Assistants who are interested in doing daily supply work. This role would involve filling in for sickness, holiday and last-minute cancellations for schools in and around Newham.
Work typically becomes available the day before or the morning of, so we are looking for people who are flexible and open to working with last minute notice.
This role would be great for people who want to work part time, either on set days or a more flexible schedule.
Experience with secondary school aged children is preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
- Working with children aged 11-16 operating classes in various subjects.
- Supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Providing 1:1 support for students who need additional support.
- Assisting with the planning and organisation of classroom activities.
Job Requirements to be a Teaching Assistant:
- Degree in a relevant subject.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Interest in working with children (specifically with SEN).
- Experience working in childcare, informally or formally.
- Right to work in the UK.
