Are you an experienced Business Development Manager or Operator, aspiring to transition into a sales-oriented position? If so, we'd love you to join our team!

We are seeking a talented individual to join our vibrant business development team in Central London. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the company's growth by engaging in targeted prospecting, sales, and marketing efforts. Working closely with the Directors of the business, the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that proposals align with our objectives while maintaining profitability.

Job Description

The primary focus of this role will be on the Business and industry sector, with occasional involvement in independent school tenders. We are looking for an ambitious, confident, and professional individual who is eager to establish a rewarding career in the food and beverage industry.

This is an office-based role with the option to work from home 1 day a week

Key Accountabilities:

To manage the Business Development process from prospecting to lead generation, tender to successfully win new business, and working with the operational and bid team to deliver achievable financial and operational proposals and achieve annual sales targets.

Research & Marketing:

• Research sales leads and assist in qualifying prospects
• Researching new opportunities, new builds, record and follow up information
• Maintain up-to-date client, consultant, and prospect information on Salesforce. Carry out routine telesales calls and follow-up actions including letters, and e-mails, and record all actions on Salesforce.

Knowledge & Relationships:

• Build prospect relationships through telesales activity
• Representing Lexington at networking events

Sales Tenders:

• Develop creative and compelling sales tenders and proposals
• Manage sales tender process to meet all deadlines
• Achieve annual sales target

Document Production:

• Develop high-quality and creative documents and assist with collating, formatting, layout, and printing as required
• Maintain an updated file of standard information required for pre-qualification and tender documents

Presentations:

• Management, coordination and preparation of marketing materials and requirements for presentations

Site Visits:

• Management, coordination and preparation of marketing materials and requirements for site visits

Mailings :

• Assist with processing mailing lists, letters, envelopes, and mail outs - prospects & consultants

Events :

• Invitations, mailings

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week - 4 days in the office

Skills and Experience

Experience:

• Experienced business development professional, preferably in contract catering.
• Familiar with managing innovative tender proposals
• Experienced with managing marketing campaigns/events

Knowledge :

• Financially savvy
• Strong Presentation skills
• Demonstrate ability to manage prospect opportunities and tender projects to successful completion
• Degree standard of education or relevant experience

Skills :

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite software
• InDesign (or keen desire to learn)
• Familiar with database management
• Excellent persuasive writing skills
