Commercial MI Analyst

The Vacancy

Location: Flexible working with visits to our offices in Wimbledon or Nottingham (flexible on home office location)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)

We are excited to announce that we are on the lookout for a Commercial MI Analyst to join our Group MI team here at Domestic and General. As a Commercial MI Analyst, you will closely with The Group MI team to produce the reporting throughout the business, to our clients and up to board level to aid business decision making and to understand performance & trends.

Reporting to a Senior MI Analyst, this role will play a key part in delivering a combination of scheduled and ad-hoc reporting to the rest of the organisation on behalf of the MI team. The workload features tight deadlines and the delivery of purpose-built analyses.

About the role:

Production of client and internal reports

Updating, producing and checking existing reports within specific time periods in order to meet service levels with a high degree of accuracy.

Creating reports both for clients and internal purposes according to specific requirements.

Monitoring data quality and acting upon findings

Work with colleagues within MI to support and ensure continuous improvement, inline with business requirements.

Work closely with MI colleagues to jointly ensure single source of the truth data sources are agreed and utilised

Management information and data analysis

Extract interrogate and analyse data to support business and underwriting decision making.

Providing analysis on an ad-hoc basis for management in other departments and external clients

Effective stakeholder management and communications

Proactively liaise with key stakeholders in other departments to agree the structure and frequency of new requests and any future MI needs

Build and maintain effective and authentic working relationships with Partners, identify and remove causes of conflict and help foster a one-team approach to service delivery

Build and maintain working relationships with colleagues in the MI Team to ensure accuracy of work and play a key part in ensuring our processes are governed to a high standard

Ensure all relevant information is briefed to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner. Deliver messages, whether positive or challenging in a constructive manner.

About You:

This role will suit an individual that is looking for a challenging role that will have a high impact at the heart of business matters.

In addition, you will have:

Knowledge of our contact centre’s KPI’s/KRI’s, dashboards and scorecards

Systems knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular Excel, Cognos planning, SQL and Power BI

Ability to respond quickly to deadlines

Effective and confident communicator at all levels

Attention to detail

Strong analytical and MI language skills

Passion with driving results

Ability to influence others and challenge where applicable.

Able to develop good working relationships with the Business based on respect for own expertise.

Strong decision making and judgement, escalating where appropriate.

In addition to the above, you’ll also be used to working in a fast paced, agile team environment, who can deliver against tight and changing deadlines and priorities. You’ll be an effective team player with working knowledge of contact centre, data management, KPI’s and dashboards.
