Job Title: Health & Safety Manager
About Us:
This company is a leading player in major civils projects, committed to excellence and safety. We're seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Spearhead health and safety initiatives, emphasizing major civils activities.
Ensure meticulous project compliance with statutory regulations and contractual safety requirements.
Conduct thorough onsite inspections, audits, and monitoring.
Collaborate closely with project teams, providing daily reports to the FVC Project Director on site concerns and improvement areas.
Coordinate with Safety Advisors, supervisors, and operatives, fostering a culture of good practice.
Collate, review, and present monthly Health, Safety, and Welfare data to the FVC Project Director.
Maintain H&S content of the FVC Integrated Management System to ISO45001.
Qualifications:
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
Chartered Status IOSH.
Relevant CSCS Card.
Full driving licence.
Skills and Experience:
Proven track record in major construction/civils projects.
Strong IT skills (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to evaluate safety practices and recommend improvements.
Experience in delivering impactful training modules.
Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of current UK Health and Safety legislation and best practices.
Knowledge of occupational environments like works at height, confined spaces, bridge structures, and safety devices.
