Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Clay Cross
Industry: Manufacturing
Hours: Monday to Friday (6:00am to 2:30pm)
Pay: Up to £48000 DOE
Holidays: 33 days, 10% employer contribution pension, annual company bonus up to 10% of gross salary, quarterly bonus, life cover x3 of salary.
Benefits: Death in service x3 of salary, Pension.
Overview:
Working for a business that have production facilities located across the world we now require a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to work closely the electrical supervisor, maintenance manager and the site engineering manager.
You will be working in a medium to heavy engineering environment that includes furnaces/heat – to which you will be responsible for coordinating the experience team of mechanical fitters/engineers.
Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor role:
Attend improvement meetings as necessary and when instructed by Head of Engineering.
Supervisory control as instructed by Head of Engineering for new installations, project work etc.
Ensure Maintenance Staff (and contractors where applicable) liaise with production area team leaders prior to commencing work in specific areas.
Supervise and manage external contractors, ensuring adequate standards are met (standards of work, PPE, housekeeping, timekeeping etc).
Take responsibility for managing internal overtime.
Assess planned maintenance requirements and produce schedules as necessary.
Ensure that routine departmental health and safety issues are dealt with.
Provide hands on support when needed.
The ideal candidate / Maintenance Supervisor may have some of the following experiences, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
- Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer maintaining production/plant machinery within a production/manufacturing environment or similar – ideally worked in a team leading/supervisory capacity OR had some management duties within your role.
- Mechanically biased
- Qualifications – must be able to present at interview in a relevant engineering discipline.
