Job description

Due to growth, a fabulous opportunity has arisen to join the maths team within the outstanding Faculty of Maths and Science. The college was graded Outstanding again in last Ofsted inspection (2022/23) and is consistently rated in the top 10 FE Colleges in the UK (NICDEX). The faculty has had sustained growth with excellent outcomes and Value-Added over many years. Exeter College effectively provides a Sixth Form for Exeter as well as drawing in students from across the region due to our reputation for excellence. We deliver to great students in a 16+ environment. The college is based a short walk from the thriving city centre of Exeter in the heart of Devon.

The Maths team within Maths and Science teach at Level 3/KS5 - predominantly A Level but also within the International Baccalaureate, Core Maths, for BTEC Applied Science and Access to HE. Note that our GCSE resit programme sits within another area of the college. The faculty actively listens to its learners, and we have very positive learner feedback. You will be joining a large team who have an exceptional passion for maths as well as for teaching and learning. There is a wealth of experience and resources available within this exceptional team, making this an ideal place for you to develop your career in the teaching of mathematics. Each team is led by a Curriculum Area Manager. You also will have a mentor and the support of a Tutorial Area Manager, Deputy Head of Faculty and Head of Faculty, as well as the wider support of a large and Outstanding college. As a Programme Leader you will have the opportunity to take on responsibility for an aspect of a course that you deliver, depending upon your strengths and how this fits within the existing team.
