Hays Legal are delighted to represent one of the leading providers of legal and claims solutions to insurers, businesses and other suppliers to the insurance sector. Currently recruiting for a Solicitor to join their Motor team in Belfast.

Your new role
Within this role, you will handle a varied caseload of litigated motor injury, fraud and credit hire cases within the County Court jurisdiction.
Duties will include:

• Create initial case strategy following Client Guidelines and review of information available.
• Undertake discussions and negotiations with Insured, Insurer and Third Party Solicitors to pursue the rapid and appropriate settlement of cases and the apportionment of costs.
• Undertake Court Hearings to ensure progress is maximised and all actions have been undertaken to bring the case to settlement.
• Timely and accurate maintenance of all case management and management information systems to ensure completeness of records and aid business decision making.
• Dealing with correspondence and telephone calls.
• Undertaking periodic reviews of files in line with Client requirements.
• Updating reports
• Meeting agreed performance targets
• Ensuring files are kept within ISO 9001 guidelines
• Provide written updates by email or letter to clients detailing case activity to ensure that they receive up to date and accurate information about progress when requested
• To ensure compliance with the LSNI guidelines
  

What you\'ll need to succeed
This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor (2-4 years PQE) to join a truly supportive team within a fantastic firm. In order to be a successful candidate for this role, you will ideally have litigation experience, handling your own caseload to include defence motor and credit hire.

• You will be a team player with excellent communication skills
• You will be organised, have the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
• You will have excellent forensic skills and the ability to work independently, maintaining quality of service
