We have an exciting new opportunity to work as a New Business Development Manager with our client who are focused in providing customer focussed solutions within the plastic recycling industry amongst other areas. Due to growth our client is now seeking this Business Development Manager to be responsible for the Warwickshire area.
This role will be very much centred around new business opportunities, including new markets as well as onboarding new clients and new partnerships.
Day to Day duties for the Business Development Manager would include:
- Creating strategies to successfully attain new business opportunities
- Building long-term relationships with new clients, supporting the needs of their business and developing proposals
- Maintain relationships with existing current clients
- Presenting and pitching sales and products to both new and existing customers
- Attendance of events and conferences with an opportunity to meet new clients
- Sales forecasting
- A strong understanding of the client’s products will be essential alongside a real understanding of the competitors within the market
- Working very closely with the internal Technical teams and other Sales teams to ensure requirements are being met successfully
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Confidence and the ability to persuade when contacting potential leads
- A technical background is essential, with the ability to understand and propose products or solutions
- A strategic, creative and results driven mind
- Business acumen, a real interest and desire to develop business
- Excellent communication skills to pitch proposals in an engaging manner
- A solid understanding of business with strong IT skills, software applications used will include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and analysis software
- Negotiation skills and the ability to make sound business decisions
In addition you will need to have:
- Minimum of 1 year sales/business development experience within a technical industry sector
- Proven ability to generate and convert your own sales lead
- Sales experience of technical products
- Experience of CAD/drawing systems would be a huge advantage for this position
